Buying through Sugargoo is easiest to understand as two purchases separated by a pause. In the first, you pay for the product and its delivery to Sugargoo's warehouse in China. Then you wait while your items arrive and get photographed. In the second, you pay to ship the finished haul to your door. Everything below follows that order.
Stage one: choosing and paying for the item
1. Find the item on our site
Start on sugargoo-spreadsheet.site. Browse by category if you know what kind of thing you want, by brand if you have a label in mind, or through best finds if you are just looking. When something catches your eye, open its product page.
2. Study the product page
Look past the first photo, which is often a styled shot. Scroll through every image for close-ups of labels, stitching and materials, and note which colours, sizes or versions the listing offers. Some sellers put several versions of a similar item on one page, and the differences are not always obvious from a thumbnail. If one detail matters to you, make sure a photo actually shows it.
3. Open the listing on Sugargoo
Click the Sugargoo button on the product page. It loads the same listing inside Sugargoo, ready to order. If you found an item somewhere else, you can paste its link into the search bar on Sugargoo instead and it will be turned into an orderable page.
4. Choose the option and add notes
Pick the exact size, colour or version you want, and compare it once more with the photos. Use the notes field for anything the seller or agent should know, such as a preference between two near-identical options. Short, specific notes work better than long ones.
5. Pay for the item and domestic delivery
Add the item to your cart and pay. At this point you are paying only for the product and for the seller to send it to Sugargoo's warehouse. International shipping is not included yet, which is why you can keep adding items over the following days.
The pause: waiting and checking
6. Let the item reach the warehouse
Sugargoo buys from the seller, and the seller dispatches to the warehouse. Your order status updates as the item moves from purchased to shipped to arrived. How long this takes depends on the seller, so ordering everything around the same time helps your haul come together.
7. Review the QC photos
Once an item is in storage, Sugargoo posts warehouse photos of it. This is the most important checkpoint of the whole process. Compare colour, shape, logo placement, tags and any measurements with the listing, and look for marks, damage or missing parts. If something is wrong, raise it with Sugargoo now, while the item is still in China. Sorting out a problem at this stage is far simpler than after it has crossed a border.
Stage two: shipping your haul
8. Submit the parcel
When every item you want has arrived and passed your check, select them in your warehouse and create a parcel. Confirm your delivery address and look at the packaging options Sugargoo offers.
9. Pick a shipping line and pay
Sugargoo shows the lines available for your parcel and country, each with its own price, rules and restrictions. Read the notes before choosing, especially if your haul includes electronics, batteries or liquids. Apply any coupon you have, check the final total, and pay for international shipping.
10. Track the parcel
After the parcel is packed and handed to the carrier, you will get a tracking number. Updates often go quiet while a parcel is in export or import processing, which is normal. Keep your order numbers and tracking details until everything has arrived and you have checked the contents.
Three habits worth building
Screenshot each order with the option you selected, so you can compare it with the warehouse photos later. Check new QC photos the day they appear rather than letting them pile up. And think in hauls: a few items shipped together usually make more sense than several tiny parcels. For a closer look at parcels and lines, read our Sugargoo shipping guide.
